MEET YOUR INSTRUCTOR

Katrina Delbridge-Holt

Born in Sydney.. Katrina knew she loved ballet from an early age! At 14, she left high school to pursue her dream of becoming a ballerina and studied full-time ballet at Ecole Classique on the North Shore, studying under the very respected and admired Prudence Bowen (Principal and RAD Examiner).

After a year and a half of 8-hour-a-day training, Katrina struggled through an ankle injury, which forced her to go back to school and finish her HSC.

Although she hung up her pointe shoes, she never lost her passion for trying many styles of dance and using her own choreography for various amateur productions (Including Rock around the Ages!) 

She started focusing on running and competing in half marathons as well as numerous Aerobic competitions. She also moved to London and was chosen as a main dancer for the half-time entertainment for the 1986 Inaugural Super Bowl Premiere at Wembley Stadium, which was televised around the world!

Katrina then continued over the years to pursue her passion of dance and choreography, where she could and has had the following experience:  

EXPERIENCE
 
  • Worked at Moove & Groove (a start -up) company, bringing dance to people with the pioneering idea of headphones (silent disco)
  • Certified Jazzercise Instructor for 3 years 
  • 5 year business co-owner of You Should be Dancing - delivering a variety of classes to suit a huge client base
  • Over 250 original choreographed routines

Katrina is now the sole owner and teacher of Kat's Dance Fitness - where she is focussing all her attention towards 2 types of classes to suit high-energy cardio clients and low-impact, feel-good classes!
